I finally bit the bullet and determined that i might upgrade from my EEEpc 1000he I even have had for two years, and when reading up on a number of the newer models out there this one appeared like a natural work, therefore my review are going to be based mostly on returning from using that wonderful ""old gal"".

Un-boxing my 1015px 2 things struck me; there's no OEM disk now (it's learning!), and what's this funky wanting wire? when some days of use I truly readily relish this new power cord compared to the recent ones (and their horrible failure rate), ASUS Eee PC stands proud - of the alternative aspect, mind you - solely 0.5 as so much because the recent one, and having the brick and plugs being one within the same means when i am up and concerning carrying my netbook i am not dragging the brick everywhere the ground sort of a leashed miniature chihuahua. Awesome.

The unit itself is within the ""Seashell Series"" family now 'round that makes ASUS Eee PC thinner and noticeably lighter than my 1000he, even carried with the new power wire, and it's principally finished during a matte coating that's about to calculate approach higher than the shiny one grease-wise. The keyboard is ninety nine identical, the additional buttons at prime are missing (which is ok by me as I wasn't aware they did something anyway...), and therefore the power button may be a ton additional durable and well seated than the last one.
